Overview

A grimpeur audax showcasing The Cotswolds edge; will your legs be slaughtered?

Bit to far and hilly? Try Granny's Cotswolds Telegram 160 for an Imperial Century with a lower speed allowance.

Description

Make a beeline to Wotton-under-Edge where the fun begins as you climb into the Cotswolds! Over to Nailsworth and up The W. Down into Brimscombe for the first stop at Felt Cafe, then climbing back out again making your way north.

New for 2024 the route avoids Cheltenham instead rolling along the top edge moving from the Coln to Breesmoor Brook Valleys; before descending to Winchcombe picking up the old route to The Flag and Whistle on the Gloucestershire and Worcestershire Steam Railway.

Keep going to the quintessential Broadway and climb up again into the Cotswolds turning at Chipping Campden to cruise (well almost) through picturesque countryside and villages including the chocolate box Lower Slaughter and on to Northleach.

A 'relaxing' stretch follows before entering the valleys and mill towns again for a visit to Dursley Heritage Centre. Hold onto your hats and engage low gear for the final steep one before a quick return.
